Inspired by the energy and vitality of young people enjoying the music on the Quays during the Spraoi Festival in Waterford City, Ireland. I snapped random photos, most of the time I wasn’t even looking through the viewfinder. Later I was fascinated and enthused by the unselfconscious enjoyment and wonderful atmosphere captured in the photos, and attempted to recreate this in a series of paintings entitled Street Festival. This particular one is number seven in the series.
